New Year

We have finally come to the new year.
Many of you will have made a new year's resolution. Whilst thinking about what to blog I suddenly thought about the new year and what to say. It then came to me that I should make a resolution to blog more often seeing as I've dropped off during the holidays.
The most popular resolutions include:
Lose Weight
Gain Weight
Get out of Debt
Save Money
Get a Better Job
Get Fit
Eat Right
Get a Better Education
Drink less Alcohol
Quit Smoking
Reduce Stress
Take a Trip
Volunteer to Help Others
Be Less Grumpy
Be more independent
Watch less violence
Learn something new
Research showed that of a resolution study group, only 12% completed their goals.
So, instead of making big resolutions, maybe the best idea is to make small ones and stick to them.

Update

Recently in media we've been cracking on with our two minute movie scenes.
We've managed to finalise our plot, write the synopsis and present our movies using a flip mino and the steady hand of Mr. VS.
Filming is going to prove difficult as we don't know whether or not we will be allowed to film on the train/station.

With Mrs. Francis we have continued to look at British film. We watched the Full Monty at the end of term and researched into why it was such a successful movie. Among many factors, the most interesting was probably the fact that they released teasers about the movie as people didn't actually understand what the full Monty meant. This pulled in the audience and led to big success.

And in more important news, an Australian prison guard, held hostage, was released after the ransom for pizza was met. 20 inmates seized the guard over conditions in the jail. Initially 24 demands were made, however, they released the guard after settling for pizza, coke and garlic bread.

Recent News/work

With Mrs. Francis we've been looking at British films and what makes a British film.
Majority of actors, editing, director and funding are all factors which can make a film British.
Yesterday we looked at 'The Full Monty' and 'Notting Hill' and discussed how location of Britain is represented in these films.
Today we were split up into several teams and researched various sections of British Film. My group looked at the genre of different British films since 1996. Overall i think we managed to come up with around 55 different British films since 1996 which was an impressive effort from the group.
